Northern California- Singer Bonnie Legion drops her new single Burning Trees.  When you hear the title you might think this is some laid baCK stoner anthem, but the track is a 180 of that. Set to a piano/pop ballad, Burning Trees is a crescendo of a song. It starts with a slow medley accompanied by a distinct and great voice. Rather than talking about weed smoking the song is about the inner burning and personal turmoil the singer is going through. The song builds and includes a nice piano solo mid course. The track finishes with a fury of Bonnie Legion singing and then a slow end to the ballad. Leaving the listener with a little taste of everything and wanting more, Burning Trees is an industry quality single.  Bonnie Legion is also a part of the duo that includes Clyde Legion. The two make different types of electronica, R&B, Rock as well as Pop music. Take a listen to her SoundCloud below. One of the featured tracks has close to 60,000 original plays so they have been doing something right. Often in the business it is about exposure. An artist can have all the great music in the world but if nobody is hearing it then they need to switch tactics to get some new listeners. By adding some different styles of music they have been able to open up their fan base and hopefully one day make it to the next level in the business.

Bonnie legion’s bio:

Im Shavon Bonnie Legion.  I’m a California singer songwriter and multi genre collaborative music artist.  I am Co owner and founder of Sound Legion, an up and coming music label and online production and collaborative artist house.  I work with both pro and novice artists alike, growing record labels, indie labels, bigger production houses and label, artist both young and old, rich and poor all with a passion to create a good song.

My journey as a musical artist began officially i would say back in 2008 when I started recording and releasing original acoustic tunes under the name Sounds like Shavon.  In 2012 I switched full time over to the alter ego artist name Bonnie Legion, releasing music across the genre board.   Since this time I have traveled many places around the world working with many different genres of music, from artists and producers in hip hop in New York and London, to Southern folk rock in Georgia and Tennessee, Scotland Folk Rock, California/Oregon beat makers and musicians, Wales UK rappers, Jamaican Riddim  Hustlers, and a global EDM scene.   I have seen many things, been influenced by many lives and many sounds over the years, the music reflects a wide range of thought and question.  Its been a long journey of self discovery.   Much love to all those following the passion, and all those who helped create the music along the way.   Every song is precious.  Whether its time and sweat, or pain and tears, a lot goes into each and every tune.

Lynn, Massachusetts – The weather is changing in New England as Fall quickly changes to winter in the Bay State. Just in time for the long hibernation that is winter, Freeman gives us some heat to keep us warm. The 17 year old was born in Cambridge and rasied in Lynn. His major rap influences are rap greats like Biggie, Nas and Wu-Tang. You can hear that he has been listening to people that can rhyme thats for sure. Ben P who rocks the second verse is out of Malden, Mass.

Malden and Lynn are both hard cities north of the greater Boston area. The two rap about their struggles in life. Freeman is apart of Revo Music a group of young Lynn cats who spit bars and make tracks about life. Take a listen and drop and comments below. I am sure we will be hearing more from both of these cats. For now The SlapGods team is sure that both rappers will be deep in the studio for the next  six months until the snow thaws in Boston.
