Its not too often we get into World Issues here on SlapGods.com but sometimes is not all the time. On this Monday lets try and push the line forward in 2018. And in order to push the line forward we can look to the past for all we need to know in order to move the issue forward. The issue we speak on is “Equality” or lack there of here in America.  This Martin Luther King day  comes at a monumental time in the history of the world. With the creation of the internet and the 24 hour news cycle. It seems the media monster feasts on all that is wrong with the world. There have been many advancements in the equality of all  since the “Dream” speech or assassination of Dr. King. But, the many underlying issues of race in America have truly never been dealt with. The fact the country was built on the backs of one race for the profit of another is something WE Americans much face in order to move back into the Light that leads the world towards freedom and democracy. See America is much like us Humans that occupy it,  it isnt perfect, it never will be. This unfinished aknowledgement of our past mistakes coupled with many  injustices going on throughout the world, especially here in America, has the “Land Of The Free” in a very dangerous place. It could be argued with certain people being in certain positions of power it has never been a more dangerous time in our world. This is why it is so important we take time to look to the past to not make the same mistakes our ancetors did. To move the Line forward, to advance our civilization.

Happy MLK Day from the SlapGods team.
Happy MLK Day from the SlapGods team.

Martin Luther King Day is always a cold Monday in January, a day when banks are closed and we get ready for a new year. The cities of America reawake from the Holidays on Tuesday. Monday or Martin Luther King day is our final rest before the New Year truly begins. With our leaders lacking the skills to lead and so much corruption throughout our political and justice system it is going to take brave men and women to help right the ship that is”Land Of The Free and The Home of The Brave” aka America…  “Now is the Time..” is often repeated by Dr. King throughout the speech. He also states it would be “Fatal for the nation to overlook the urgency of the moment… 1963 is not an end but a beginning.” The continuation of Dr.King’s speech and vision need to be the line that is pushed in 2018. People of all walks of life need to learn to work together towards his goal.  “We will be able to work together, to pray together, to struggle together, to go to jail together, TO STAND UP FOR FREEDOM TOGETHER… knowing that  day WE will be FREE one Day”

New Orleans, Louisiana- NOLA emcee TeeJay  Foy drops his new single “P’s & Q’s”. The piano inspired track was produced by Dev On The Beat. Overall it is a dope track. The piano does seem like it could use something added to it or mixed up but other than that the whole single is legit. TeeJay Foy has been making music for a minute. It shows in his delivery. This track just dropped on his B Day so, Happy B Day from the SlapGods.com Team and keep making that indie slap.
