Bio:

Daiviyah Jones, is a recording artist from the Bushrod Park area of
North Oakland, California. The Bushrod area had a tremendous impact on his life,
in particular his childhood. At an early age, his father was sent to prison
and his mother was dealing with drug and other issues herself. Soon Daiviyah,
was forced to face the streets with his young sister DJ. The duo had to fend
and take care of themselves at a very young age, As Daiviyah grew into manhood,
the streets, easy money and the need to take care of his family, led him to turn to
crime to make ends meet. He started dealing drugs and doing armed robberies.
At the age of 18, Daiviyah and his good friend Tiger, were arrested for
committing an armed robbery. This culminated with Daiviyah, still a young adult
and having never been giving a real chance at life, being sentenced to a bid in
the California State Prison system.

While in prison, Daiviyah looked for ways to occupy his time. He started
writing and rapping in the yard. Soon, he was finding himself writing more
and more. He also was being encouraged by fellow inmates who
heard his flows. After 6 years of incarceration, Daiviyah was released back to the
streets of Oakland that he was raised in. Faced with being fresh out of prison and
nobody to turn to for support the man’s instincts kicked in and once again he was
hustling. He turned to the oldest profession there is pimping women.
He quickly flipped his gains. He has successfully owned and operated legal businesses
ever since. He has also built a reputation as a reputable Cross Country pimp.. His love
for ladies is only surpassed by his desire for success in the music industry. He never
lost his passion for both writing and music, that he picked up while serving out
his bid in prison. He continued working on his music and businesses and the result of
his hard work will be shown in his still untitled debut LP in January 2017. Daiviyah is
not today’s cookie cutter new artist. His music is uptempo and meant for the clubs. 2017
Looks to be his breakout year with his debut LP on tap and a slew of other projects he is
set to release.

Gary, Indiana- Checking in from the Heartland of America we have Gary, Indiana emcee Jaye Raw with his new visual “I Grind”. The talented young artist has been working on his passion for almost a decade. The video is shot at a dope location with spray paint all in the background. The visual is a lot of the same you see today. It is done crisp and clean and shows just how far technology has changed the video game for indie artists. Literally, get a cameraman and a location and GO! The track itself it legit. The young emcee has bars. Only suggestion from the SlapGods.com team is to add a little to the hook, spice it up! Also try and add a little to the video, another scene? more in the booth clips? something to mix it up next time.
